Sarah is a 1989 graduate of Ball State University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree. Following college, Sarah joined the USA Group as a Customer Assistance Representative and was rapidly promoted—first to Quality Control Monitor and later to a management position as Quality Control Senior Trainer where she supervised a team of employees covering seven different customer areas.
In 1998, Sarah joined Robert W. Baird & Company, Inc. (Baird), a large national Investment Brokerage firm, as a Registered Sales Associate where she assisted two Senior Financial Advisors. Again, Sarah was quickly promoted and became the branch office’s Information Technology Representative where she trained staff on all new software and information technology systems. In 1999, Sarah was named Training Coordinator for Baird, traveling throughout the United States. During this period, Sarah implemented a number of programs to assist Baird Advisors in serving the high-net-worth market. Serving in the same position, Sarah was later promoted to Assistant Vice President.
To be with family and friends, Sarah returned to her hometown of Yorktown, Indiana in 2003 and accepted a position as Branch Manager and Assistant Vice President with Bank One (now J.P. Morgan Chase) in Muncie, Indiana. In less than two years Sarah increased the branch’s assets by more than 38%. She improved the branch’s performance levels in every area measured by Bank One and implemented a variety of compliance and customer service initiatives.
Sarah is involved in all phases of the investment advisory business with Cardinal Capital including investment management, client service, and financial planning. She is the Chief Compliance Officer charged with monitoring the firm’s compliance of State and Federal Securities Rules and implements new technology initiatives.
Sarah has always been active in the local community and is a past member of the Exchange Club Board and past Vice President on the Board of the Prevent Child Abuse Council of Delaware County. Sarah sits on the Government Relations Committee for the Muncie/Delaware County Chamber of Commerce and acts as a Chamber Ambassador. She is also a past Board Member for the Hoosier Academy Charter School of Muncie. Sarah was a nominee for the 2009 & 2010 Athena Award. She was awarded the prestigious Chamber Ambassador of the Year award in March 2011. She was once again named Chamber Amassador of the Year in March 2018. She is the Past President for the YWCA Board of Directors of Muncie. She is a current member of the Muncie Sunrise Rotary Club and serves on the clubs board of directors. She is the Immediate Past President of Muncie Sunrise Rotary.
